Every Bulb has a Story....

Did you know: When Narcissus 'Fortune' was 1st released for public sale the bulbs went for £500 each ... in 1915! That the 1928 cultivar 'Cornish Gold' is actually a Scottish variety raised by the famous Clan Chieftain Major Ian Brodie, the 24th Brodie of Brodie & there are varieties named after popular British dishes - welcome to the 1777 Narcissus 'Butter & Eggs'!

Every year we will release a selection of the best beautifully scented Narcissus chosen for their solid constitution, rich heritage & wonderful perfume.

We have done all the hard work for you but remember the bulb list changes every year so get them while you can.

BULB CARE

The deadline for ordering Bulbs is 31st Oct 2024. We will start shipping bulbs from 1st October til 31st October 2024 in tradition to the old ways, which results in the highest success rate.

  •     We recommend planting your bulbs as soon as you received them. this allows for the bulbs to settle in position ready for their growing season. Although not ideal, if you cannot plant them straight away then you can store them in a cool, dry, dark, well-ventilated place until you are ready. (As these are living things so, please ensure the bulbs always have an adequate supply of fresh air while in storage.)

  • Unless you are going for a 'naturalised look' then please remember to keep your newly planted labelled! There are 26,000 registered cultivated varieties of daffodil & nearly all juvenile Narcissi look incredibly similar to each other when they are in the ground without labels.

  •   Stock from this year is from well-respected growers who are the pinnacle of the daffodil breeding world. We only source the best bulbs & as such you can always expect the best to passed onto you.

We are a small family run traditional farm & currently run as mail order only. We hold a British Plant Passport Number & sadly currently do not ship abroad at the present.

Disclaimer: Even though daffodils are fairly good at flowering religiously at a particular time, year on year, sometimes extreme weather conditions can cause some varieties to flower a little earlier or a little later than normal. This is because we are all at the mercy of Nature.
