Very heavy cropping. White streaked black pollinator friendly scented blooms followed by tender green long pods with up to 8-9 beans per pod. Very reliable in all weather & a rightfully a firm favourite since the 1880’s. It is worth to note that this is the same Bunyard Dynasty who also gave us the wonderful ‘Christmas Pearmain’ apple. Expect quality.
CULTURE – Can be sown directly 23cm (9”) apart in Sept/Oct or Feb/March (although benefits from cloche protection during harsher winter weather). Prefers a warm, sheltered, sunny location with plenty of well-rotted manure incorporated into the soil. Overall height: 90cm (3ft). Tall vegetables benefit from plant supports such as string & wooden stakes. Plants need to be kept moist for good pod set. Harvest Summer.
