AKA. ‘Golden Yellow. A form of the Dwarf Solid White Celery but far more golden in hue. It’s also smaller, milder in flavour & earlier to harvest than most. Grows rapidly & stalks are naturally creamy white in so no-need to blanched to improve flavour. As a non-trench form means plants can be grown closer together.
CULTURE –Sow undercover in prepared seed tray Feb-April, scatter seeds on top of damp soil & very lightly cover. Once plants establish aim for to just 1 plant every 6” (30cm). Celery much prefers damp soil with plenty of organic matter & frequent watering to help establish good stem formation. Spring sown plants should be ready from late August onwards. Harvest outer stems first.
