Mid Harvester – October
An incredibly hardy, cold tolerant tree with exceptionally pretty blossom in the spring. The apples are not too dissimilar to the beloved Bramley but with the benefit of maturing a great deal earlier - It also it a great deal less sharp on the palate with a fruity mild flavour. These apples curious quirk is that they turn from green to yellow when ripe.
It really is a cracking little tree weathering even the most exposed & wet sites making it phenomenally popular with Scottish growers.
