Cragford c.1930 P.D. Williams. St Keverne, Cornwall
Also known as "February' due to its early flowering period.
Cragford is a wonderfully scented Narcissus hailing from the depths of deepest Cornwall breed by the Daffodil Maestro Percival D. Williams. Progeny of the lovely pre-1850's cultivar 'Gloriosus' it shares similar traits to the equally sibling, the famous 1930 Dutch variety 'Geranium', but will the added bonus of being hardier & flowers a great deal earlier.
A multitude of white & orange star shaped flower on every stem paired with the most gorgeous spice scent makes this variety a welcome addition to any garden looking for a bit of early spring colour & scent which is different from the usual yellow. It also is a great cut flower as the stems are strong & the vase life is delightfully long.
