Gay Time 1952. J. Lionel Richardson. Waterford. Co. Waterford.
We absolutely love this narcissus here & have many of its own relations including 'Mary Copeland', 'Falaise' & 'Bere Ferrers'. Gay Time is an excellent double in so many ways. Its stout, tall stems hold the flowers perfectly without the worry of the heavy buds getting blown down into the mud on squally days in the valley. Its multiples freely wherever it is planted & the beautiful, off white & burnt orange double flowers carry the most delightful aroma across the hedgerows.
Please Note: The name come forms part of the Richardson’s “Race Horse Series.” Named after a very successful 1950’s UK racehorse. He was sold for £50,000 in 1950's (£2.2million in today’s money)
