This is the apple of Rattler Cider fame bearing very, very prolific crops of apples (sometimes overwhelming in some years!)
Large yellow primrose apples with pink blush on the sun kissed surfaces, if you are lucky enough & the flesh turns completely pink in a Cornish hot summer. If fruit is completely pink then you can eat them straight from the tree. It gets is name from the fact that if you shake the apple the pips rattle inside like a Pomona maraca!
