It was then ‘rediscovered’ in the 100years later across the border in Cornwall within the walls of a sawpit at Poldrassick Mill, Landrake (near the Tamar bridge.) This lovely large apple has an in incredible storage time with some harvested lasting from October all the way to April!
The apple itself is largely green bordering on yellow but can show little pink blushed where it has been sun kissed. It quite unusual apple as the aroma is only apparent when the skin is pierced, if cooked it produces a delicately fragrance golden puree.
