For such an exceptional vegetable, there is hardly a written word about it. This purple top gem, with sweet yellow flesh & mild flavour, is a must for any swede lover. Wonderfully hardy & holds its shape well when growing makes this cultivar the most ultimate carefree Swede out there. Stores extremely well & making it an excellent swede for the pantry. Perfect for Pasties.

CULTURE – Ideally direct sow 0.5cm (3/16”) April-Sept. Preferers a sheltered sunny location with plenty of organic matter incorporated into the soil. Keep an eye out for slugs & snails as they adore all young seedlings. Thin out to 45cm (18”) intervals. Overall height: 50cm (20").  Plants need to be kept moist to prevent premature bolting or bitterness. Weed carefully around plants so not to damage the root structure. Harvest Oct – March.
